Important Program Update:
Due to the current economic climate, the Everett Internship Program is being suspended indefinitely.
Over the past 18 years, the Everett Program has introduced 3,000 students to the challenges and opportunities that come with a career in public service. These students have inspired creativity and furthered missions at over 65 leading non-profit organizations.
It is with a heavy heart that the Everett Family brings this successful program to a close. We wish you the best of luck in your pursuit of an enriching internship experience.
Eligibility:
ALL applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Completed at least two semesters of college education.
- Be a current undergraduate or graduate student attending
a United States university, or have just graduated in
the spring immediately preceding the summer of the Internship.
(Recipients of post-graduate fellowships are not eligible. Students
attending Canadian Universities are not eligible)
- Be available to work full-time for the entire length
of the 10-week internship.
- Be new to the organization. You may not serve as an
Everett Intern at the same organization more than once.
However, you may apply to be an Everett Intern at another
organization.
- Attend all mandatory weekly lectures and events produced
for Everett Interns in New York and Washington, DC.
- Please note: The Everett Program does NOT fund individual
grants or fellowships for internships at organizations
other than the ones listed on this Web site.
- Please note: The Everett Program does NOT allow interns
to work in offices of participating organizations in cities
other than Washington, DC and New York City.
There are NO exceptions to these qualifications.
The Details:
- Internships are available during the summer only.
- Internships are only available at participating organizations. Click here to search through participating organizations.
- Everett Interns receive $280 per week for ten weeks.

- Internships are full-time and Everett Interns in New
York City and Washington, DC are required to attend weekly
lectures and events.
- Interns may NOT work fewer than ten weeks. Some organizations
might choose to pay for additional weeks.
- Interns must be available to begin their internship no earlier than May 26 and no later than June 16, 2008. ***PLEASE NOTE: These deadlines were changed to better accommodate students attending universities on the quarter system.

Each description includes contact information and instructions
for applying and deadline dates. NOTE: Deadline dates will differ from one organization to another.
- Apply directly to each organization* of your choice.
Do not send your resume or other materials to the Everett Program. There is no general application form for the Everett Program.
- All applications must include your resume and a cover
letter expressing your reasons for applying to the particular
organization. Note that you are applying for an Everett Public
Service Internship position in your letter.
- Attachments to applications and any special skills or
experiences required are noted in the individual descriptions.
- Contact the organizations directly for further information
about specific internships, deadline dates, confirmation
of your materials and exact starting and ending dates.
- You do NOT need to send any applications or materials to the
Everett Program.
*You are welcome to apply to as many participating
organizations as you like.
